We are proud to announce that Laura McGeoch has been promoted to Deputy Maintenance Manager.

Laura has been part of GCAM since its inception in 2016, and brings over 16 years of aviation experience to our organisation. Her leadership in maintaining accurate, compliant technical records is essential to the safety, reliability, and regulatory strength of our engineering operation.

Engineering excellence at GCAM isn’t achieved by engineers alone — it relies on skilled professionals like Laura, whose expertise ensures our maintenance activity is documented, traceable, and audit‑ready.

Her promotion reflects her commitment to mastering the complexities of a highly regulated MRO environment and her unwavering support for our technical teams.

We are delighted to announce that Simon Upton has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer.

Over the last nine year as Operations Manager, Simon has consistently demonstrated outstanding leadership, deep operational expertise, and an unwavering commitment to delivering results.

In his new role as COO, Simon will oversee both GCAM and Air Salvage International and guiding each business through its next phase of growth and development.

Congratulations to Simon on this well‑earned promotion and an exciting new chapter ahead for all of us.

GCAM is proud to be chosen to take delivery of a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner at its Cotswold Airport MRO facility.

The aircraft, equipped with GEnx-1B engines, also features exceptionally low hours and cycles. The Dreamliner is known for its comfort, profitability, and exceptional environmental performance, and is under a Boeing Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO) storage programme utilising GCAM’s B787 Approval and unrivalled services.

Independently owned GCAM fosters an atmosphere of operational excellence, with storage and maintenance programmes tailored to meet the needs of its global client base.

The company looks forward to supporting AJW Group with the latest acquisition to their diverse portfolio.

A further aircraft under the expert care of GCAM has recently departed our Cotswold Airport facility.  The wide-body which has been in a storage programme since November 2022 is the fifth aircraft to depart this year.

Following extensive additional line maintenance checks necessary for the aircraft to return to service, it departed on time to join the fleet of a leading airline.

Another happy customer and example of great teamwork.

GCAM is soaring to greater heights! The Company is pleased to confirm that the #A330, #B777 and #B787 families have now been added to its EASA – European Union Aviation Safety Agency list of Approvals. This represents a significant milestone for GCAM and will complement existing capabilities, strengthening the support available to its global clients and position at the forefront of the #MRO sector.

In August 2023 GCAM gave AD Aerospace access to a Boeing 737 and an Airbus A318 Freighter at it’s UK facility in order for them to capture footage from their IP HD video surveillance system (https://lnkd.in/eN3zSMT2) in situ in the below deck and main deck cargo areas of the aircraft.

AD Aerospace’s Cargo Surveillance System monitors the cargo holds in passenger and freighter aircrafts. The system comprises a number of CCTV cameras connected to a digital video server. The surveillance system allows real-time streaming to EFB or dedicated LCD display. The surveillance system allows the crew to keep a visual check on cargo loading, assess progress, and to monitor for illegal activity.

The footage will support AD Aerospace with their current projects with major airlines for provision of their Cargo Surveillance System (https://lnkd.in/eMerzR84) fleetwide.
