Leading Airline Places Aircraft into GCAM Storage Programme

A leading airline is utilising the scope of services available at Cotswold Airport by using a GCAM storage and maintenance programme for a Boeing 757 that forms part of its global fleet.  The aircraft will remain in storage pending further return to service.

 

Recruitment of Maintenance Manager

GCAM is looking to recruit a Maintenance Manager at its Cotswold Airport, Gloucestershire, UK facility.

This young, but rapidly expanding EASA Part 145 & Guernsey (2-REG) Approved MRO was formed to support the ever-changing needs of clients by further enhancing the scope of facilities at Cotswold Airport.   GCAM provides a high level of service for its clients offering aircraft storage and associated maintenance, return to service, together with onward deliveries.

So, what would we like to see:

  • B1 EASA Part 66 License with B737 and A320 Series Aircraft.  B1 on B757 and Embraer 145/170/190 would also be an advantage.
  • Formal aeronautical maintenance training with sound knowledge of EASA Part 145 and Part M regulations.
  • Demonstrable track record of a strong focus on people management.
  • Excellent written and oral communication with strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Highly IT literate with skills in Microsoft Office.

Duties include:

  • Supporting clients onsite and managing third parties technically while adhering to agreements and contracts.
  • Planning, coordinating, implementing and finalising projects according to specifications and deadlines.
  • Working with the client to complete the project’s scope, goals and deliverables, while adhering to the milestones and budgets.
  • Acting as a single point of contact throughout the process and ensuring clients have a positive experience.
  • Supporting clients onsite and managing third parties technically while adhering to agreements and contracts.
  • Supporting physical inspections and providing technical reports.

This is generally a Monday to Friday position.  A generous remuneration package is on offer for the ideal candidate, dependent on experience.

GCAM awarded Guernsey (2-REG) Approval

GCAM is delighted to announce it has been awarded Guernsey (2-REG) Approval (2-REG.145.179).  This additional approval enhances the flexibility of support offered by GCAM for lease returns, storage and onward deliveries, particularly for Airbus A320 series and Boeing 737 CL/NG.  GCAM’s full list of approvals can be viewed here.

GCAM is looking to strengthen its existing team by the recruitment of a B1 Licenced Engineer for the A320 family of aircraft (V200 and CFM56).

This young, but rapidly expanding EASA Part 145 Approved MRO was formed to support the ever-changing needs of clients by further enhancing the scope of facilities at Cotswold Airport in Gloucestershire, UK.   It provides a high level of service for lessors, banks and financial institutions, offering complete support for lease returns, aircraft storage, associated maintenance and onward deliveries.

Details of the vacancy are as follows:

  • Immediate start
  • Permanent position
  • No night shifts
  • Competitive salary, including company pension

The successful candidates will be able to provide the following:

  • A minimum of 2 years line maintenance experience on the A320 (V200 and CFM56)
  • Type Certificates
  • Up to date Part 66 Licence
  • Previously held approvals/authorisations
  • Up to date and stamped logbook
  • Initial Human Factors Certificate
  • Current EWIS and FTS Certificates
  • Eligibility to live and work in the EU (Passport)

GCAM awarded “Once-off Approval”

GCAM has been awarded “Once-off Approval” from the Zimbabwe CAA to support an Airbus A319 currently in storage at its Cotswold Airport, Gloucestershire facility. At short notice, GCAM gathered all the required documents and applied for the Approval to support the aircraft. The Fastjet Airbus A319 was stored and maintained on behalf of the owner, prior to onward sale.

GCAM provides support package for Skyworld Aviation

GCAM is pleased to have provided a complete support package for Skyworld Aviation (a leading aircraft marketing organisation) under its latest EASA Part 145 Approval. The two ERJ 145 LRs (serial numbers 145564 (G-CIYW) and 145601 (G-CIYX) remained at GCAM’s Cotswold Airport, UK facility under a storage and maintenance programme for several months, prior to them being returned to service with global aviation companies.
